Join us March 15 for an opportunity to decorate a white carnation by giving it a smiling face. You’ll be able to take your creation home in a bud vase and watch as the green dye in the water changes the color of the flower.
Participants also will receive a balloon.
Time slots are available at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Connells Maple Lee Kids Club event on Oct. 26 will collect new children’s books for public libraries
The final Connells Maple Lee Kids Club event of 2013 combines “boos” and bouquets.
In all Connells Maple Lee stores on Oct. 26, children ages 5 to 12 will have an opportunity to make a small mum basket and will receive a free balloon.
The event will celebrate Halloween and our annual “Bouquets for Books” book drive to benefit area public libraries. Participants are asked to bring a new children’s book as the price of admission.

Connells Maple Lee Stems Hunger contributes 114 pounds of food to Mid-Ohio Foodbank
Our second annual Connells Maple Lee Stems Hunger event collected 114 pounds of non-perishable food and $24 in cash donations for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
The number of pounds represented a 37 percent increase from the event’s first year.
From June 21-29, we asked customers to bring food items to any of our stores. For each food item, they received a free carnation, up to a maximum of six carnations per family per visit.
We are grateful for the generosity of customers such as you.
Kids club event takes bite out of hunger
Participants in the Connells Maple Lee Kids Club event on June 22 demonstrated a “can”-do spirit in the fight against hunger.
Thanks to the children and parents who came out in support of our annual food drive, Connells Maple Lee Stems Hunger. We asked participants to donate a canned good or other non-perishable food item as the price of admission in conjunction with the food drive, which benefits the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

Connells Maple Lee Stems Hunger returns June 21-29 to benefit Mid-Ohio Foodbank
Connells Maple Lee Stems Hunger, which benefits the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, will return for its second year June 21-29.
Last year’s inaugural event collected 83 pounds of non-perishable food items.
Customers receive a free carnation for each non-perishable food item they donate, up to a maximum of six carnations per family per visit.
Food collection boxes are placed in each of Connells Maple Lee’s stores in Bexley, Grove City and Powell during the event.
In conjunction with Connells Maple Lee Stems Hunger, the Connells Maple Lee Kids Club will host an event for children ages 5 to 12 in all of our stores on June 22.
Bouquets for Books collects 133 new children’s books for public libraries
Christmas came early for public libraries in the communities that Connells Maple Lee serves.
Our annual “Bouquets for Books” collected 133 new children’s books for Bexley Public Library, Delaware County District Library and Southwest Public Libraries.
Bouquets for Books took place Nov. 2-10. Customers who donated a book received a free bouquet, up to three per family per visit.

Connells Maple Lee Flowers & Gifts wants to continue growing the children’s book collections at area libraries.
Just bring a new children’s book to our stores in Bexley, Grove City or Powell, and you’ll receive a free bouquet in return (up to three per family per visit, while supplies last).
Used books will not be accepted.
